HOUSE STYLES

La Casa Uruguaya has two defined styles, maintaining all the strategies but varying its materials. Both styles are based on bioclimatic architecture, with an over-roof and a second skin.

This exterior protection mesh is separated from the house to act as a ventilated facade, protecting the house from the sun and improving its thermal performance. It works by generating shadows on the facades, thus lowering the temperature of the air that remains in the space between the mesh and the exterior walls of the house.

The Original design is the winning style of the competition, tested and evaluated throughout the competition. The design of the passive bioclimatic strategies of the second skin and over-roof are composed entirely of wood.

Para dichas estrategias se utiliza madera de Eucaliptos Grandis, preparada para exterior y con certificacion estructural. Se utiliza madera de muy buena calidad ya que la misma será para exterior y será a su vez la primera barrera de proteccion de la vivienda contra las inclemencias climaticas.

Bioclimatic architecture is a necessary condition to achieve the objectives set in terms of consumption reduction, rationalization of the use of natural resources, among others.

The Minimalist style maintains the passive bioclimatic strategies already mentioned, which allow a better use of resources but changing its materiality, which allows a completely different style of the envelope than the Original style, but that works in the same way protecting the house.
